AQUA4DEV-BS News: Conference “Aquaculture Europe 2026”

Aquaculture Europe 2026 to Take Place in Slovenia

Aquaculture Europe 2026, one of the leading European conferences in the aquaculture sector, will take place in Ljubljana, bringing together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and innovation experts from across Europe.

The event is organized by the European Aquaculture Society and traditionally serves as an important platform for dialogue between science, industry, and governance in the aquaculture sector.

The conference will be held at the Gospodarsko Razstavisce Exhibition and Congress Center, located close to Ljubljana’s historic city center. The program will include scientific sessions, industry forums, project workshops, panel discussions, and technical tours.

Particular attention will be given to industry engagement, innovation, and the sustainable development of aquaculture. An international trade exhibition will also take place during the event, where companies will present the latest technologies, products, and services for the aquaculture sector.

Aquaculture Europe conferences traditionally serve as an important meeting point for European research projects, professional associations, and international cooperation initiatives. The event also highlights key issues related to climate change, sustainable resource use, innovation, and the role of aquaculture in future food security.

In the context of the AQUA4DEV-BS project, such international forums reflect growing attention to sustainable and technologically advanced aquaculture, as well as evidence-based water resource governance in the Baltic region and across Europe.
