Implementation of a new project entitled “The Life Cycle of Offshore Wind Farms in Legal Regulation: The Case of Latvia” has begun
The Institute of Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia has launched the project “Life-cycle of an offshore wind farm in the legal framework: the case of Latvia” (No. LU-BA-ZG-2024/1-0024).
The aim of the project is to examine the applicable legal framework and legal practice at the international, regional and national levels, identify the main obstacles to the development of offshore wind farm projects and develop initial legal recommendations for their implementation from a life-cycle perspective in order to ensure a more comprehensive legal framework for the offshore wind sector within the Latvian legal order.
The project will run from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025.
